The last soldiers deployed on Op Herrick 15 from 20 Armoured Brigade have returned home to Germany.

D Squadron from The Queen's Royal Hussars worked as the Warthog Group out in theatre providing vital armoured support to operations on the ground.

The dates of their deployment meant the squadron worked under two different brigade headquarters for Op Herrick 15 and 16, often working in difficult conditions.

These soldiers they can now spend some quality time with new additions to their family or enjoy a well-deserved holiday.

The squadron will now go through a few days of normalisation before they receive their operational medals next week.
