[SOLVED] GTA V Error in Steam (Whisky) on M1/M2/M3: The Rockstar Games Launcher failed to initialize

*** IMPORTANT UPDATE ***
With the latest WhiskyWine, some of you may experience a compatibility issue with Sonoma 14.4.* and the system may crash while starting the game. It happened to me and I have seen others signalling this. I am not sure if this happens to everybody.
Anyway, if you experience this, upgrade to Sonoma 14.5. Cheers!

Rockstar dropped support on its launcher for Windows 7 and even if you have Windows 10 bottle, the launcher will fail to start. So a bit of modifications are due.

This is what I have done to start GTA V successfully:

1. Install Steam as usual, games too.
2. Run GTA on Steam, let Rockstar launcher installation, accept the error after it fails to start.
3. Minimise steam and go to bottle configuration.
4 Enable DXVK.
5. Go to Installed Programs and search for Launcher.exe. There is a pin in front of it, activate it.
6. Close installed programs and you will have Rockstar launcher pinned there. Start it.
7. Run Rockstar launcher and at this point you should have all your installed games listed there (including the ones from steam).
8. OPTIONAL, I have not seen any difference in game with or without: go back to whisky configuration and disable DXVK (actually, unless is needed by other games/programs, you need DXVK enabled ONLY to start Rockstar launcher).
9. Go back to Rockstar launcher and click on "PLAY ON STEAM".

Software: Whisky 2.3.2 (4) with GPTK (WhiskyWine)

If you have a better Mac, with m2 or m3, or you plan to buy one, this game can only run better on them.
