Apparently, some people do not have the patience for this Special Stage. It seems some people would rather get the emerald fast than worry about getting a continue or an extra life. So here is how to do it.
How to get the emerald fast:
Just as the Special Stage starts, immediately hold Left on the D-Pad. You should land on the Down block. Continue holding Left (not too long) until you land on the Reverse block at the left. Then hold or tap Right on the D-Pad to make sure you get stopped by the Reverse block at the right. You should then land on the Color blocks next to the Jump Stand blocks. Touch the Color blocks without getting greedy. You should then begin to slip. When that happens, touch the Reverse block at the left along with the Bumper block. You should get repelled back on the Jump Stand blocks. Finally, touch the Color blocks, and the emerald will be collected.
This is the fastest route I can come up with, in terms of consistency. I am not a speedrunner.
You can call this as a tutorial on speedrunning if you want, but I only uploaded it for people who want to get the emerald without 'problems'.
