Thanks to Werster for the speedrun video showing how to do some of the more complex tricks. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get particularly lucky with Mecha Sonic/Silver Sonic, and as such, he wasted quite a bit of time. Aside from that, I am very proud of this.

The first two acts are very consistent to deal with, especially by Sonic final zone standards - as long as you can manage the execution, it shouldn't be too difficult to beat those. While it might not seem like much, correctly timed jumping and rolling can give you a significant boost in speed, along with jumps also helping you correct your movement if necessary. For the penultimate segment of Act 1, the pipe can be used as a visual indicator as to when you want to jump.

For Act 2, the bombs cause slowdown and as such it's best to keep that in mind as your jumps can fail in that section. Do not bounce off the badnik once you pop out of the tube, you won't be able to gain enough momentum to make the slope jump. For the jumps in the next area with bombs, you want to slightly tap left at specific points to just slightly land on those platforms and not end up falling into the spikes/bombs. The moving platforms are rather quick and landing on them can be difficult, so if you want to, it's a good idea to practice those.

For Act 3, you want to move left and then to the right to successfully land on the spring platform: this is rather precise, and if you don't care about being quick, it's better to just do this normally. For the boss, you can roll into it and then jump to potentially land more hits depending on the attack. I prefer to jump early, as if the boss decides to roll, not jumping will likely mean getting hit.
