About the song:
I did this one a very long while ago (September of last year, before Mind in a Program). I don't remember much of what I did, but I do remember it being very run of the mill, save for the volume macros, which were a little difficult to adjust. The noise channel notes are longer in length than usual to imitate the timpani, but any longer than that and it becomes just noise, or at least noisier than I want it to be. The only thing I remember about this that was different from the usual process was deciding how quiet the long droning notes of the bass should be, and I decided it should be at a minimum volume so as to not draw attention to itself, and without the buzzing sound trick I did with Aquatic Ruin, because here, even though it's so low volume you can't hear it all that well, doing that thing is very noticeable and doesn't work as intended. And then I gave the entire thing a volume boost by changing the volume macros. You see, originally, the volume decline was very linear, it went down by exactly the same amount all the time, but that, combined the low Herz rate, made the general volume of the song difficult to control, it would either be a little too quiet or a little too loud, but now, VERY last minute, I changed the decline to something like an inbetween, like if before it was going by 4, then 4, then 4, and then 4, now it goes down by 4, then 6, then 4, then 6, etc. It's like a middle point, a 1.5 value, and it works wonders.
About the picture:
Most of it is from Sonic 1 SMS/GG, the entire ship, turrets and little clouds are from Sky Base Zone, and the clouds in the background are from Bridge Zone. The propeller and the weird wrench-looking thing are from Tails' Sky Patrol (there it's an obstacle, here it's a platform, maybe).
