There's a route after the driller in the beginning that would lead Knuckles back into the main route Sonic & Tails would go through, I just turned around to go through more of Knuckles' own route.

Act 2 is very unique for Knuckles he has to get through by mostly using a bunch of orange, highspeed tubes. He'll eventually go pass the same spot he was at when he knocked a big boulder at Sonic.

Act 2 doesn't even have a boss. He just exits stage right. This playthrough is almost over.
