Actually, I think they will probably start filming early next year. It’s likely they are in the process of casting actors, assemble their filming crew, and location scouting. It’s likely they will be filming mostly behind closed doors to prevent spoilers.

Usually, Colleen doesn’t get the scripts until a Sonic movie gets ready to start filming.
Also, Colleen’s prediction for Sonic 4’s production to start seems possible.
Like around early winter 2026, then later by summer they should get their voice actors recording their lines
