A year and a half ago, I teased the idea of doing a Kirblog about this weekend's particular subject. Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2; two games that helped define the "Dreamcast Era" the Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Both are dearly beloved by a lot of hardcore fans...but neither hold up well as games, objectively. But, the debate tends to be, was Sonic Adventure never "topped" by its predecessor, or was Sonic Adventure 2 an evolution of the previous game's concept? With that in mind, I'm joined by two big Sonic fans in their own right: Edward Bosco (Chipp on Guilty Gear Xrd) and Xander Mobus (The Announcer of Smash Bros. for Wii U & 3DS) to join me in the discussion and get to the bottom of exactly why we like either of these games...and specifically, why we like one more than the other.
