Sonic & Knuckles: Flying Battery Zone 1 (SNES Version)
I had the thought of remaking a song from the Genesis since I've never done it before. I also thought..what if I could make it run on the SNES?
Here it is. Flying Battery Zone 1 from Sonic and Knuckles. This is blasphemous, I know. Sonic on the Super Nintendo?! Sonic was made to compete with the SNES!
Inspiration was derived from Kulor Research Labs Inc's channel as he did the same thing with Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic 2:

How I did it:
-Took the VGM file for the song and threw it into Adobe Audition, and ripped the raw unsigned 8-bit samples for the drums (This took the scratchy sound of the Genesis DAC channel away, but I felt that it was necessary)
-Took that VGM and ran VGM2TFI on it, which ripped the instrument settings
-Took the ripped TFI instruments into VGM Music Maker and then edited/sampled them all to .wav
-Solo'd the channels for each and every FM channel and made a multitrack recording out of it so I could solo where I needed to and get the notation.
-Made it in Impulse Tracker and converted to SPC with SNESMod.
I also added some echo with FIR filters that were designed to make it sound a bit more analogue :)
This video is playing the recording off my Super Famicom.
Enjoy!
