Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing (Xbox 360 Vs PS3)
So, whilst I had my video capture equipment out to get the footage of Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing on the Xbox 360 to compare to Sonic and Sega All Star Transformed on the PS3 (the video I uploaded before this one), I decided I might as well get some footage for another comparison.
Now, I don't actually own Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing on the PS3, but I did download a demo version of it years ago which is still on my PS3 hard drive. The track in question is the Billy Hatcher track Rampart Road (complete with it's awful music. The Billy Hatcher music in Transformed on the other hand is a little slice of drum and bass awesomeness). For some reason though the PS3 audio came out a little bit distorted, not sure why, it normally plays OK.
Another thing worth mentioning, just as a point of interest, is that the CPU opponents in the PS3 version were being a bunch of complete and utter cunts. I don't know if the AI had some further balancing issues sorted out in the final game (compared to the demo) but I was getting mercilessly bombarded by every motherfucker on the track. So annoying when you can't catch up to the CPU opponents in first and second place because the fuckers in 4th and 5th will not stop shooting you from behind. Add to this as well that the second place guy is shooting backwards at you, rather than trying to take out the first place guy. This didn't seem to be too much of an issue when I was playing the finished game on the 360. But, maaahn, it was getting ridiculously frustrating on the PS3 demo. What I thought was going to be a quick ten minute blast on the game to get footage of me getting first place ended up turning into a right fucking slog that took over an hour.
Damn cheating CPU bastards! (I do like the game really though...)
