Sonic Battle: Story Mode Part 16: Emerl Episode Part 2/2: Finale! Sonic Vs. Ultimate Emerl!
8Emerl has beaten down Eggman so much that Eggman was forced to surrender and beg for mercy from the robot he had once dumped away on the beach.
Emerl, being as merciful as he was, decided to let Eggman wallow in his tears and suggested that he turns over a new leaf and change his life for the better.
However... when Emerl turned his back... Eggman unleashed his final trap!
He launched the Final Egg Blaster! Launced it at a sea of stars!
He forced Emerl to look at the all of the energy that was released from the blast so he can copy and absorb their data into himself!

It was at that moment that Emerl, went insane!
He absorbed so much energy that he couldn't even control it all in his body. It was Eggman's plan this entire time! This was the Link he was trying to establish with Emerl this entire time: Linking with someone that wielded overwhelming power!
His next move? To unleash the Final Egg Blaster upon the Earth, itself, and destroy everyone on it.
This caught the suprise of Sonic, Shadow, and all of their other friends. Not even Eggman intended for this to happen. He wanted a world to conquer, which can't happen if it's blown up.
Emerl, in a much colder voice, saw Eggman as an annoyance and knocked him out. And that was the last to be seen of the Doctor.
Sonic was somehow given the Master Emerald, which can be used to stop Emerl by shutting down all of the Chaos Emeralds within him. Motivated by all of his friends, Sonic used another charge from Tails' warp transporter to each the Death Egg, himself.
Sonic almost tried to use the Master Emerald on Emerald... but then... Emerl smashed it to tiny pieces.
When Emerl first relaunched the Final Egg Blaster, it was one minute before it would fire at the Earth. By the time Sonic got there, 30 seconds remained.
To stop this launch, Sonic had to face the ultimate version of Emerl, himself!

You finally regain control of Sonic after last having him in his own story at the very beginning.
Emerl here is pretty much "Ultimate Emerl". All of his skills now utilize secret Ultimate Skills, which takes every move he learned from Sonic at the very beginning and amplifies their strengths and capabilities beyond what should be given to a character, such as a Triple Sonic Wave, or an explosion from Jab 1.
There are at least two different ways to unlock these Ultimate Skills. They will even be given to you randomly like Rare Skills, or there's a certain spot during Emerl's Episode where you can fight and train to gain these Ultimate Skills.
It is not actually possible to have them all equipped on Emerl at once without cheats, because they ALL require 30 Skill Points, each, which will end up being more than the game's cap of 500!
...and now, right here, you have to fight this "cheating" Emerl with Sonic. *GOOD LUCK!*

Remember, Sonic had at least 30 seconds from stopping Emerl from destroying the Earth. Is it possible their fight against each other was so fast that it only lasted *ONE SECOND!*
Emerl... he came back to his senses, but realized now that the overwhelming energy within him was now too much to bare. He was remembering all of the good times he had with his friends: Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Shadow, Cream, his "mother" Amy, and of course Sonic, himself.
Sonic realized what was about to happen, but tried to stay positive that Emerl will be okay. Sadly, it was now time for Emerl to say his goodbyes and thank all of his friends for helping him grow...
In a flash of light... Emerl, the last Gizoid, vanished into nothing...
All of the people that he called his friends could only mourn Emerl's death. To Shadow, this was the last of Professor Gerald Robotnik's experiments. A weapon of war that became so destructive that it terminated itself.
The only thing left to remember Emerl by was being among the Emerald Shards that appeared when he died. Sonic will allow Cream to remember him through that.
Tails wondered about Emerl being designed as a weapon of war. He wondered if the world will ever truly know peace; to truly live in a world without violence and war...
Sonic, being the free spirit he is, surely thinks so!

With this being the final Episode of Story Mode, the game finally shows the full credits of every single fighter in this game, from Sonic, to Tails, to Knuckles, to Shadow (who has finally learned to smile again), to not only Gamma and Eggman, but also another secret character: Chaos.
But then it finishes on Emerl. The single most important character that this game centered around...
