Sonic CD (7 Time Stones) - Part 1: Introduction - All Time Stones
5I'd prepare yourself for a few more sonic games, there will be AT LEAST another two in this 13 week(end) period.
I'm going to be honest here, I do think this game is overrated. I like it, but at the same time it's one of my least favourite 2D Sonic games, maybe it's because I didn't play it until my teen years I don't know.
The level designs are mediocre to me, and most of them seem pretty bland. Although I like the concept of time travel in sonic, I think the stages could've changed more than just a re palette and re music (although it is nice to hear). The design barely changes. I'm not a fan of the bonus stages either, I find it hard to judge the distance of the UFOs.
What I do like is Metal Sonic, and the soundtrack. Neither the American or Japanese soundtrack sounds very Sonic like, but they're both good. I like the Super Peel Out too, and it's a shame you barely see it at all. It's a good way to get up a hill without having to rely on momentum.
I destroy all the Metal Sonic holograms, and up to the 7th Time Stone I also destroy the Robot Teleporters (or whatever they're called).
If you save the 7th Time Stone until Act 2 of the last level you can destroy them all, but it's pretty pointless unless you're playing on a modern console and going for achievements.
