Sonic Frontiers - "Phantom Rush" Combat Unlimited Mod Showcase & Combo Video
351Sonic Frontiers combat really makes you feel like a pro Devil May Cry player... except without the complex inputs, depth and carpal tunnel. It's really simple at the end of the day, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't fun and has a lot of potential if expanded upon in a sequel.
Reason why I haven't made a combo video until now is because enemies die way too fast even at 1 attack level, as well as starting another save from scratch without unlocking Spin Slice and Homing Shot... I think they suck, especially Spin Slice since you can't use your drop dash in combos anymore with it unlocked... although I do showcase combos with those 2 moves at the end.
The "Phantom Rush Combat Unlimited mod" has some nice quality of life improvements like Wild Rush being much faster and Sonic Boom and Cross Slash have reduced damage that forces you... to actually attack your enemy instead of cheesing them, but are still useful as combo extenders and Phantom Rush meter builders. Also Cyloop meter builds faster but it uses all your bar instead of half.
