Sonic is back,and in fact,this time there's 2 of him! Released for the PS3 in 2011,this game was made by Sega as a homage to past Sonic titles. For a long time Sonic had had a pretty questionable line of games made,but Unleashed was a step in the right direction,then Colors was more like a giant leap. Now,I feel like they finally got back on track with Generations. At any rate,you'll start the game playing as Classic Sonic,through Green Hill Zone. Look at how amazing everything looks as you blaze through the levels in classic 2D style. After clearing the stage,the scene changes to Modern Sonic,and it's his 20th birthday today! He's had a surprise party sprung by his friends,when suddenly a monster appears in the sky! It captures all of Sonic's friends,and then Sonic himself finds himself in a strange place. Explore ahead,and you'll take on Modern Sonic's version of Green Hill Zone! Modern Sonic is more about using his Boost to get through stages as quickly as possible,going through both 3D and some 2D areas. Once he's beaten the stage,he'll be back in the Hub area,and Tails will have been saved! At this point the Red Star Coins will appear in Green Hill Zone,so I'm gonna go back and get them,they unlock Art and Music for the Gallery when you collect them. Also the Skill Shop opens where you can customize skills for both Sonics.
