0This is the first Sonic The Hedgehog which is playable in Sonic Generations. You have to buy this in the skill shop. In order to unlock and play the original Sega version of Sonic the Hedgehog you just need to buy the sega controller from the shop located to the left of Green Hill Zone and then just take the controller to the Sega Console located in the top left area of Green Hill Zone. Everyone knows that this game started Sega's popularity on Sega Genesis console. It was meant to go against Nintendo's Mario franchise! This game came out in 1991 and developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It's basically their mascot. I hope that Sega pays more attention to their other game franchises. I like Sonic but they have so many games in their library as well. Here's the story. In an attempt to steal the six Chaos Emeralds and harness their power, the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik aka Eggman has trapped the animal inhabitants of South Island inside aggressive robots and stationary metal capsules. The player controls Sonic, who aims to halt Robotnik's plans by freeing his animal friends and collecting the emeralds himself. If the player collects all the Chaos Emeralds and completes the game, an ending sequence is shown. If all the emeralds are not collected, Robotnik taunts the player while juggling any of the Chaos Emeralds not collected by the player. I'm gonna try to get the chaos emeralds next time. I didn't get them in this run.
