We completed the Spotlight challenge fairly easily so lets increase the difficulty. Speedrunning Sonic Mania Sonic & Tails good ending with the spotlight mod enabled for the full run! We finish in 2:16:32 with around 30 deaths. What's surprising is that easy parts of the game became much harder and areas I thought would be hard ended up being easy.

The Spotlight mod reduces your field of view to a small spotlight around Sonic that can only be increased by collecting rings. The catch is that every ring after 10 rings will be removed at 1 ring per second and 2 rings per second if you are over 50 rings so you're constantly looking for rings to keep the spotlight large. If you turn into Super Sonic it'll remove rings even faster.
