Sonic Map Dev - Space Colony Ark Day 015-017 - Procedural Motions fo Egg Walker
Over a span of 3 days fighting health issues etc (the Flu) I was finally able to wrap up a very simple procedural IK animation setup for the Egg Walker. I have absolutely no time to be trying to hand animate this things traversal over the land as Robotnik approaches the facility to free Shadow 50 years later from the hands of GUN, so I opted to try a control rig method to have the feet and the targeting laser move based on velocity input and sphere traces. The model is still WIP but at least the rig is done. Next I think I need to cut the crap and just get to framing all the shots I need for this short otherwise I will just keep getting stuck on small details and never finish.
