THOUGHTS ON THE MOD:
I've been behind the curve to what the Sonic community has been cooking lately and boy did they cook. This isn't a 1 to 1 port of Unleashed Sonic into P-06 mind you, but it's close enough. It's more of a hybrid between p-06 Sonic and Unleashed Sonic. He has the boost (mapped to RT), slide, side-step and drift (mapped to the Y button of all things), but also retain the bounce move (cannot boost out of a bounce only homing dash), spindash and has P-06 Sonic's turning, but keeps momentum after a jump like Unleashed Sonic. Also no stomp... which is an odd decision.
I honestly would've thought this would make the core gameplay terribly unbalanced and to a certain extent it might be, but it's actually more balanced than I thought it would. Boosting is for all intents and purposes, more of a liability, especially given how the base game handles collision and slopes, in cramped spaces especially it will get you killed, but since there are certain limitations to make it more balanced (no air boosting after a bounce or fall, only after an active jump). Yet on big stretches of land and mach speed sections it works like Sonic Unleashed.
In short, this mod is very cool and I'm eagerly awaiting more custom stages and other character mods Sonic P-06 might have in the future.
