Sonic Pocket Adventure: The Forgotten Gem | 30th Anniversary Mini Review
Review 17/30: Sonic Pocket Adventure (Neo Geo Pocket Color, 1999)
Not the Sonic Adventure you'd expect, but...
...it's still a whole lot of fun!
Not exactly accessible nowadays, Sonic Pocket Adventure is practically Sonic Mania before Sonic Mania. It's a mashup of level themes from Sonic 2, music from Sonic 3, but all original bosses and even loads of original level layouts.
The thing is, it's pretty tough, especially towards the end, so it'll test even the most veteran of players.
I'll be doing short videos on 30 Sonic titles for the 30th anniversary of the series. Going for at least a video a week, so be sure to tune in!

Rising Sun Retro is a channel about retro games (of course) and even modern games too. From short video reviews, to retrospectives on older titles. Being based in Japan gives the channel a Japanese focus (hence the name) from a westerners perspective (also the name sounded catchy so I'm rolling with it).
