Sonic Prototype Discovered After 30 Years - Why This is HUGE!
What is a prototype? If a game isn't quite finished yet, sometimes a prototype version of a game is featured at E3 or a toy fair. The best example is the Simon Wai prototype of Sonic 2, which, according to Game Designer Yuji Naka, was stolen from a toy fair in New York. The games were never meant to be dumped, they were only meant to show a big audience a sneak peak at a game.
Community member Drx, who also managed to find the prototype of Sonic 3, found a prototype to the original Sonic the Hedgehog after 30 years. How much different is it from the final game? Find out from watching the video.
