Reason for the noticeable slowdown:
"Right so the reason that my footage is 17% slower is that games released pre-Gamecube/Playstation 2/Xbox-era released in Europe generally could only support 50Hz due to some kind of issues with the electricity and the TVs over here, not even going into detail with that, but American ones could support 60Hz which meant that our refresh rate was 17% slower than you guys and so our games resulted like that, when games were ported to the Wii's Virtual Console they maintained the original refresh rates for their region and not given 60Hz support, so when I capture from the Wii's Virtual Console I can generally only capture at 50Hz which results in 25fps footage, the stupid thing is that European Wii's are perfectly find to run Virtual Console titles at 60Hz as titles that weren't originally released here, e.g. Super Mario RPG, were released with only 60Hz and since I've found a work around for my capture card I can capture 60Hz games at 30/29.97fps, but going back to games that were released in Europe, e.g. Sonic, causes my capture card to start recording in 25fps again because that's what the game is outputting at because we don't have a 60Hz option"
