Sonyc (MSX) OST - The Forest
In 1997 I created the music for Sonyc, a Sonic clone for MSX2+ computer and the MSX turbo R. This song is played during the Forest stage.
The music was written for the MSX-MUSIC (FM-PAC) standard but also for the Moonsound (http://www.msx.org/wiki/MoonSound), a 24 channel soundcard featuring the Yamaha OPL4 chip and 2MB of built-in General MIDI instruments.
This video contains the Moonsound version of the music, recorded from a real MSX, a real Moonsound and was slightly mastered. The music was created using the tracker Moonblaster Wave for Moonsound and only uses the built-in sounds.
If you want to download the soundtrack in MP3 format or want the original Moonblaster Wave files, you can find them at http://www.jorito.net/files/Sonyc/. Enjoy!
