Playing through Extra Arcade of Soulcalibur II on the Sony PlayStation 4 as Nightmare in his Siegfried Schtauffen costume with his equipped weapon being none other than Soul Calibur itself! This is the sequel to Soulcalibur and is the third game in the Soul Series. This game uses the Soul Charge which is boosts the user's desired attack. For the roster, this game not only introduces some new faces but is the first game to introduce guest characters with each console holding one character from a different universe: The Nintendo GameCube adds Link from The Legend Of Zelda Series. The Sony PlayStation 2 adds Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken Series. And lastly, the Microsoft Xbox adds the comic book character Spawn which makes this game his first time being in a fighting game with NetherRealm Studio's Mortal Kombat 11 being his second time. In addition to the new faces and the three guests, all three console versions have unlockable characters. All of them are not present in the arcade version. Lastly, this game has multiple modes to play. The one that stands out the most is Weapon Master which serves as the game's story mode as you fight your way to reach Soul Edge while unlocking the aforementioned characters that weren't present in the arcade version and weapons which affect the user's playstyle. The weapons can also be used in modes that have Extra in their name.
True Story: Back at highschool, I was a Soulcalibur IV and V only player (the latter game is where I was most competitive). Whenever people talk about Soulcalibur, they ALWAYS think of Soulcalibur II. I joined in and mentioned Soulcalibur IV and V. Their response, they either didn't get what I was talking about. Feeling unfit, I bought Soulcalibur II for myself and played the heck out of it to the point where I put Soulcalibur V in the closet! But I still keep Soulcalibur IV in the shelf because Star Wars! And at that point on I enjoyed ever single moment of Soulcalibur II. I returned to that peer group, told them my experience and we became the best of friends! Who knew Soulcalibur II made me get friends but not Soulcalibur IV and V?!
Soulcalibur II is one of my favorite fighting games of all time! And it's also one of my favorite PS2 games of all time! Siegfried still under the influence of Soul Edge must defeat Inferno as that is the only opportunity to save himself! Don't worry. He's got Soul Calibur with him!
