Sound Design Extended: How to Make Robot Vocalizations with Manipulator
Got quite a lengthy video here explaining how to make some R2D2 style robot vocal barks, vocalizations, speech bits whatever you wanna call them.
The essential explanation is 5ish minutes long starting at version 1 and then I go through how the effect can be varied and what you might get/things to consider.
Apologies if the explanation drags on or seems a bit unclear in some sections. I'm not well practiced with this. Feel free to drop a comment if you want clarity on something.
The game this tech appears in is over here https://riker.itch.io/sunday. Bear in mind that because this was a game jam game I was more concerned with finishing as opposed to getting everything into pristine quality. If anyone comes up anything cool using this I'd be more than interested to see. Hope this helps!
