Space Colonization with Bob #2: Lunar Resources
Hello everyone and welcome to Space Colonization with Bob. I am not a scientist, I just play one on Youtube, but what I am is an enthusiastic amateur who has studied issues relating to space colonization for many years. In this episode we will be discussing the various assets and resources that the Moon possesses, and those that it doesn't.
In this series as a whole, we will be looking at a broad spectrum of issues in space colonization. Often there have been extremes on both ends of the optimism spectrum regarding colonization. This happens anytime there is something just beyond the horizon of what people are capable of. In the late 19th and early 20th Centuries, there were those (probably a majority) who said that Man would never fly in a heavier-than-air craft.
There were also others who said "Damn right I can fly, and me and these cardboard wings are going to jump off this bell tower and prove it!" ;)
Space colonization is possible, but it is also extremely hard and so we need to apply ourselves logically to the problems involved."
