1A proper docking would require a change in Enterprise's exterior to incorporate a connector... I can't make myself do it. She's too pretty for that.
The orbit at 1,800,000 m around a 1/2 scale "Earth like planet," probably comparable to that awful Bajor. Could there be a more boring planet than Bajor? Maybe, but in any case we stopped off for a test to see if we could trust the dampener matching system at over 300 m/s and the answer seems to be yes. This wasn't in high atmosphere but there was a little wind.
Next time around I need to try it lower. Maybe 400,000 (which is the goal.) This planet has 1g at that atmosphere so it will be tricky.
