By 2007, TheGameCreators had turned their attention to developing a new FPS Creator that could take advantage of the latest DirectX10 graphical techniques. Released in 2008, and initially exclusive to Windows Vista, FPS Creator X10 was a short-lived attempt to allow novices to create high-fidelity FPS games with ease. The high system requirements, lower uptake, and overall bugginess of the software ultimately proved to be its downfall, and few games were ever released with it.
Space Warrior is a sci-fi shooter made in FPS Creator X10 years after it was abandoned. It's a rare example - possibly the only example - of an FPS Creator X10 game that was actually released, and gives a fascinating insight into the unique selling points of the engine, and why it ultimately failed.
