This is a custom game I am making using C# and openGL (using openTK). The original game was in c++ however I rewrote the entire engine from scratch in a fraction of the time the original took. This is partly due to the fact I now am familiar with openGL and partly due to C# being a much simpler language to code in, which makes it faster to code complex engines.

The game will not simply be a minecraft clone when complete, instead it will have a number of unique features. These will (likely) include: travelling to other planets in a custom built spaceship, discovering secrets of the various worlds, collecting materials to build a warp drive (which is the main goal of the game) and also additional alternate long term goals. It will be more focused on machinery and functional blocks than minecraft and will have a much longer tech tree.

Obviously the game will change greatly as time goes on, and i'm open to suggestions. I have an idea for what I would like the finished game to be, but the engine is flexible enough to do many different kinds of games. For now I am just getting the core engine in place and trying to get some kind of gameplay out of it. As a result, the early builds will probably resemble minecraft alpha for some time, but this will change drastically as time goes on.

I would like to release an early playable build as soon as it has actual gameplay. Of course there is no telling how long this will take so constantly asking for a release date is pointless. I will however try to upload videos whenever there is something cool to show off.
