Spec Ops The Line Multiplayer is still somewhat alive in 2024 on the PC! Usually most of the praise for Spec Ops The Line is it's singleplayer campaign but I believe the multiplayer is a nice little added bonus to experience after you finish the story mode. Even though Spec Ops The Line's multiplayer was forcefully tacked on and is mainly unfinished, there are still some great features included within the mode. The Create-A-Class system for Spec Ops The Line actually goes quite in depth, players can customize their soldier's outfit with countless uniforms and headgear, there are also different armor types the player can choose from with each including their own set of pros and cons. Multiplayer uses a light class system similar to battlefield, with the four classes and one faction specific class. Officer, Sniper, Gunner, and Medic are shared between factions. The fifth class is Scavenger for The Damned faction, or Breacher for the Exiles faction. There are 31 weapons to choose from so weapon variety seems to never get stale as each weapon feels different and has a specific role in the game's sandbox. Sand itself is another great feature in Spec Ops The Line as players can shoot at ceiling tiles, glass windows, or other surfaces to unleash a flurry of sand on your opponent which can stun or ultimately kill the enemy.
