Spectrum 128K scenedemo, Paralactika by deMarche presented at Chaos Constructions 2011 and taking 1st place in the spectrum compo.

This looks quite different from stuff that appeared on the spectrum when I used on back in the very early 90's. It achieves its effect by switching between 2 frames at 50fps with the 2 images appearing as one frame for the illusion of higher res. Ive merged the 2 frames together (now 25fps) to make it watchable on the tube.

On a classic crt screen, you would only persieve a slight flicker due to image persistance, but modern screens show this effect as an annoying flicker ;)
