I will state off the bat: hold off on this one. Plenty of bugs prevent reliable gameplay with a few causing crashes (if you don't save frequently, you can see yourself having to restart entire sessions). The amount of content is limited as well given the simple nature of the gameplay with most of the replay-ability stemming from utilizing what you learned previously to go further and drawing new possible cards.

Drawing cards from several decks, appeasing local factions to help prevent the Dark Lord from wiping you out too quick, completing quests for buffs in the next school, and utilizing space efficiently makes for the bulk of the game. Students will study on their own with several stats that need to be managed for effective learning such as hunger, sleep, and sanity. Depending on the random student traits and school's facilities, the students will graduate with a possible title and provide useful advantages to the school to help with new students. The students also add to mana pulls in five different schools, offering passive buffs, new rooms, new items that take effect if they are high enough in a school of magic, or resourced later to complete requests from factions. All of it is tied to RNG, making each placement of a building critical (some buildings cut off placement for other buildings). Each location also has certain aspects to overcome, such as small building space or economic standards of incoming students.

It is a cute little game with some humor mixed in, but it is rather pricey for what is on offer, especially with the bugs causing some unfortunate issues that can require restarts.
