Spelunky 2 - Pacifist No% BUT I'M INVISIBLE
3In this video, I speedrun Spelunky 2's Pacifist No% run (no gold, no kills, no resources, no damage) but with a slight twist... This challenge was a little more difficult than I expected, but it makes sense considering that a large part of Pacifist runs is the ability to precisely maneuver and dodge enemies (plus dodging gold in this run). When the ability to see your character is taken away, it is much harder to keep track of where your hitbox is in relation to the enemies.
I know that you can hold items to get a relative idea of where you are, but this is not a perfect solution and it does end up being slower down the line because you have to put down the item and then pick it back up every time you need to whip gold, ledges, levers, etc...
To my knowledge, the mod I'm using is only cosmetic and should not change hitboxes or anything else gameplay-wise. For verification purposes, the mod can be found here: https://spelunky.fyi/mods/m/invisible-playable-character-and-backpacks/
It should be noted that invisible skin runs CANNOT be submitted to Mossranking.com or Speedrun.com.
For those that are unfamiliar with Pacifist No%, here's a quick explanation: Pacifist essentially means to beat the game with no kills. What defines a kill is decided by the game, not by an arbitrary set of rules written by the community. Pacifist can be checked at the end of the run with the journal entry "I was a Pacifist." I also have a pink Pacifist tracker in the bottom corner of the screen that verifies if the run is still Pacifist. There are several ways to kill Tiamat in a Pacifist run. In this run, I use a landmine explosion, which is specifically programmed into the game to be Pacifist. No% essentially means to beat the game without picking up gold, without taking damage, and without using resources. Resources are bombs, ropes, and any item that adds something to the HUD.
