The deeper you go the better the gems you find. I grind up millions worth of gems and ore and buy a whole bunch of upgrades. I even go back up a layer so I can buy a two million dollar rock drill. This helps me drill faster in a straight line so I can navigate faster. Add to that the use of teleport items and I can find my way to the very deepest parts of the mine. I was surprised by what i found at the bottom. Super Motherload gameplay with my commentary as always!
