Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion Part 74: I03/E01: No Whammy Station
18The end is coming, but I'm taking as much time as I can with this playthrough.
This crossline test has you protect another orb. This time, instead of using one of several weapons to defend the orb from Sanitized Octolings, you're instead using an ink cannon to defend the orb from huge projectiles, such as Octomissiles and those Octozepplins.
A LOT of things happened from me beating this test. Pass this test to get a Mem Cake of... GASP! It's DJ Octavio! I also got all of the Mem Cakes of Line I. So that means I get another gear from Iso Padre, this time, Cuttlefish's Old-Timey Hat!
I also unlocked Line E. It's the final line I had to unlock for this playthrough. Unlocking all of the lines has C. Q. Cumber reward you with 3000 Credits. Line E in this playthrough also has the last of the Four Thangs that I need to get, but once I manage to reach the exact spot where it is, I'm not going to go to it right then and there. I'm gonna wait to beat the rest of this mode's tests, first.
Last but not least, unlocking this last line also unlocks one more Chat Log, what seems to be the last of them.
Pearl came back from Inkopolis Square and noticed that a lot of Octolings were there now! Marina believes that these Octoling were "reborn" after hearing the Squid Sisters Calamari Inkantation, much like herself. She hopes that they can smoothly integrate themselves into Inkling culture and even develop a spin of culture of their own into it. Pearl is even excited to know that they could even participate in Turf Wars.
Cuttlefish freaks out over the sound of that, but Pearl had to remind him that these Turf Wars are just for sport and fun, unlike the ones he went through that were, indeed, WAR...
The Octolings have even started their own Salmon Runs by working for Grizzco! It seems like they're blending in pretty fast, or the Inklings are quite welcoming to them, or, as Cuttlefish keeps saying to himself, they "don't see species".
Pearl hopes that Agent 8 can make it out of the Deepsea Metro, so that she can join the rest of the Inklings and those new Octolings for some Turf Wars of their own. How heartwarming! Really gives you something to strive for, huh?
