In a visual novel segment for Homura, Homura gained a part-time job at a donut shop. However, she felt a dark presence constantly following her as she walked through a dark alley. She soon realized that a fellow shinobi student was following her.

This student was Tsumuji, and like what Homura used to be, Tsumuji is currently a Hebijo student. Without further hesitation, she lunged at Homura with her blade, ready to kill her in the name of her fallen brother. It was from there that Homura knew exactly who this girl was.

Homura quickly outsmarted Tsumuji. She was simply no match for her, even with Homura being a renegade now. She knew Tsumuji as the sister of Komichi, a man that Homura had to kill in the past, and a kill that affected the rest of her life.

Homura was originally born and raised in a good shinobi family, and she attended cram school in order to be good enough for a good shinobi high school. From her cram school, she made a strong bond with her teacher, there... until she let spill that she was a good shinobi.

Then that teacher, who turned out to be Komichi, revealed himself to be an evil shinobi sent to kill Homura's entire clan, including herself. His treachery and trickery was the lowest part of Homura's early life.

So, out of blind rage and fury, Homura brutally attacked and almost killed Komichi. This was out of self-defense, as well, but this act had stripped Homura from being admitted to every single good shinobi school in existence. Homura's bad luck didn't end there, unfortunately, as when she tried to explain this to her parents, they ended up disowning her out of shame for the clan that she brought.

From that point on, Homura became a vagabond, left to wander the streets alone with no longer a place to call home. Several years later, Homura was picked up by Hebijo, who knew of her near-murder of Komichi and saw that as potential. They quickly admitted Homura into their school where she then became an evil shinobi, herself.

Of course, back in the present, Homura was no longer with Hebijo, but Komichi's sister, Tsumuji, had a blood-grudge against her over Komichi. Right now, Komichi lives in the slums, like where Yomi came from, but Tsumuji was not here to converse with Homura over that. She was also here to kill Homura for leaving Hebijo, too.

Homura leaves Tsumuji to train more to avenge her brother, but she herself does not intend to lose to her should they actually battle, but then Tsumuji mentions that all of Hebijo is being brainwashed by Dogen, making all of its student talk about starting a war.
----------

Homura needed to investigate this by asking Miyabi about Dogen. Homura suspects that Dogen is trying to revive Orochi, but Miyabi refuses to speak up on his true intentions.

Miyabi intended started a battle with Homura, leaving Homura to wonder if she was brainwashed as well.
----------

For this mission, beat all of the lesser shinobi and then Miyabi when she appears.
----------

After the battle, Homura tries to explain to Miyabi about Hebijo's talk of weapons and wars, and how Dogen may be at the center of it all. Miyabi just shrugs her off as a renegade who has no right to doubt Dogen's actions.

This convinces Homura that Miyabi truly is brainwashed by Dogen.

Thus ends Chapter 2 of the Crimson storyline. Miyabi promises to Homura that her and the rest of her team will see their deaths by the hands of the new Hebijo, while Homura is dead-set on taking out Dogen again and saving Hebijo, her alma matter, from certain doom.
