Splatoon 2, the direct sequel to Splatoon on the Wii U, is a third-person shooter developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. In turf war, players work in teams of 4 in order to cover more area with their color ink than that of the opposing team. They can splat other players and send them back to their base in order to slow the opposing team down. At the end of each 3 minute match, whichever team has inked the most turf wins. In Salmon Run, players must work cooperatively in teams of 4 to recover salmonid eggs before time runs out. To get the eggs, players must take out a variety of bosses who then drop the eggs. Weapons are randomized in this mode, so each round players will have a new weapon to use. Players must survive all three rounds in order to win. Players must revive one another as they get splatted by enemies. If all 4 teammates are splatted, the match is over. The match will also end if players cannot recover the specified number of eggs in the allotted time.
