Splatoon 3: Fun weapons in Salmon Run [33-37-39, 35/761]
I have the Sploosh-o-matic! Let's ink walls! A Steelhead is a nice start too, inksploding to clear all the turf around it. Another Steelhead is dealt with quickly, and I flash up a Fish Finger to collect its eggs, our Rapid Blaster splatting it nicely. I leap down to help with a Flipper, and think about the Drizzler next to me, only to ignore it to splat the Stinger further ahead. That seems to leave me in a vulnerable position, with a Steelhead bomb flying in and a Lid blocking the way, but a neat leap brings down the Lid on the Steelhead, and everything is rosy again. I abandon a few eggs to get back to splatting bosses, which itself leaves eggs a bit far from the basket, but we have enough, and I move back to try to splat one last boss for closer eggs.
On to the second wave, with the Rapid Blaster, as the tide comes in. A Scrapper says hello, and is splatted, and a Steelhead doesn't last much longer. Another Fish Finger splat is lost to a squidmate, obviously not thinking about my push for the silver badge, but I get another shot seconds later. A Smallfry stops me getting the eggs, which is par for the course, but my wallowing lets me splat a Drizzler nicely, and lines up a Steel Eel for a squidmate to splat. I throw more eggs, perhaps one too many, but get moving again, helping with a Steelhead and multi-tasking to splat one Flyfish bin on the move, before stopping for a Stinger. I revive a squidmate too, and end up prioritising splatting bosses near the end of the wave instead of eggs. It all helps with survivability, particularly when we are already safely above quota.
I can't ink walls quite so well with the Carbon Roller, but I tidy up as best I can as the third wave starts. A Scrapper and Maws are lured relatively close, as a brave squidmate dives in to Chum to splat a Flyfish. I take on some responsibility early on to deliver the eggs, our Hydra Splatling not wanting to waste a charge, and being quite slow, which I am happy to do. I also shoot up another Fish Finger where my Roller can splat the trumpeters quickly. But maybe not as quickly as the Hydra Splatling behind me. Still, I get to deliver the eggs. I head across not quite in time to help with a Flipper, but I bring down a Lid to splat a Steel Eel, and a second time to splat the Lid itself.
We have more eggs to dunk, so I try to do that, pausing for a Maws. A Scrapper follows me back, which seems like easy eggs, until a Steelhead bomb splats me from behind. That's unfortunate. The Specials start flying, though, as the end of the final wave approaches, and I am not only revived quickly but more eggs magically appear around me in clear turf. A little flurry of egg-collecting follows, with an added activity of egg creation, and we end with the Run with our best wave of the three. Woomy!
