Argh, why is it only me inking walls? It needs to be done, or we'll get splatted more, as I prove when a Smallfry smacks me as I have to spend time inking a wall to escape up, but it really needs to be done by everyone, and especially those with weapons most suited to it. I honestly judge Salmon Run squads by their proclivity to inking walls between waves. My eye is on you. I'm revived quickly enough, and we're not far in to the wave, so not much harm done. I get back to the basket, just about survive a Flipper, and soon find myself the only inkling up. Not a problem, I revive my squidmates, splat a Maws, dunk an egg, and find myself the only inkling standing again. Typical, no one around to see my Lid-on-Lid action. I complete splatting the Lids, the others can wait, and drop down to revive everyone again, and run around splatting things and dunking eggs until the end of the wave.

I have a weapon that can ink walls! And I've inked most of them. And it's high tide. It's also Glowflies. This requires some coordination, and a little finesse. It will be interesting to see how we do. At least I know the trick of jumping to the ledge behind to force the Chum to retrace their steps, giving us small breathers, but that relies on the surfaces being inked too. There are quite a lot of splattings, a moment where one inkling is left standing, which isn't me, and a bunch of Specials are used. I'm also fond of my lung across the water, powered by belief. But we make it, moderately safely, to the end of the wave.

I get the bucket for the final wave! What an excellent selection of weapons for me. Thanks, Mr Grizz! It's also low tide, but after high tide I'm not reaching the basket in time. The first bosses are simple, the next ones don't raise the bar much, and it's only when I can't reach the Steelheads that I start to feel out of my element. It's not helped when a Flipper threatens to flop where I'm standing, leaving me a target for a Cohock to really put me out of my element. I'm revived, we throw eggs at the basket, and I give another Steelhead a go. Nope, maybe not for me, so I run away instead. Flippers should be easier for the bucket, and kinda are, and things are looking good again. That is, until a Maws nearly chomps two of us, which would have ended the Run early. I get away, unlike my squidmate, and start reviving inklings again, as well as using a Killer Wail. It's the third wave, I probably should. And it all works out in the end. Woomy!
