Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is a stealth game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Milan and released in March 2005 for the Xbox, PlayStation 2 (PS2), GameCube and Microsoft Windows and is easily one of the best stealth games ever made.
T H E S T O R Y S O F A R:
In 2007, tensions rise between China, North Korea, and Japan because Japan establishes the Information Self-Defense Force (I-SDF), which China and North Korea argue violates Japan's post-World War II constitution. This leads to a blockade in the Yellow Sea by China and North Korea. The United States intervenes, sending the USS Clarence E. Walsh to defuse the situation, as per their post-World War II agreement with Japan. Meanwhile, Sam Fisher receives orders from Third Echelon to carry out a mission in Peru.

General
Easily one of the best stealth games ever made, our video walkthrough series involves us playing through the game on Expert difficulty with a 100% success rating on each Mission. Locations of the Extra Objectives have been timestamped within the comments below - they can be quite difficult to find so this will be pretty helpful!
This walkthrough will serve as a valuable guide for those aiming to master Chaos Theory on its most challenging difficulty level. It also caters to those interested in experiencing the entire game as a cinematic journey or simply wishing to nostalgically relive the past.

Mission 9 - Bathhouse
The Bathhouse Mission is easily the most difficult mission in Chaos Theory and requires a fair amount of strategy for a 100% Success Rating on Expert. It’s extremely tough but doable with the right amount of practice, not impossible.
We’ve listed the following tips below to help you further:
Select “Redding’s Recommendation” when selecting the Loadout as this will give you 3 Smoke Grenades. You will need to use ALL 3 Smoke Grenades.
After scanning Shetland’s computer using your EEV, back out from the front of the vent as much as possible otherwise the enemies will detect you once the scripted dialogues are over. They won’t act that way, but the game registers a detection and you lose the 100% rating.
This is mainly because the vent has light coming into it which makes you visible in-game.
Once you exit the vent, you have to run back into the crawl space and make it past the corridor before the 2nd frag grenade goes off.
Doing so makes sure that the enemies fighting do not detect you/shoot you. The trickiest bit is when they do see you but don’t react, which keeps you from understanding this until the end of the mission.
Use a save/saves here to practice as this bit is tricky and you’re unlikely to get it right first-time.
How you use the smoke grenades and where you throw them is absolutely crucial.
Watch the video for this and use saves where necessary to practice because the 3 smoke grenades will make/break your attempt.
Use the sticky camera wisely
Once we enter the boiler room to defuse the bombs, we use a sticky camera and place it in a corner under the stairs (watch the video for this). This might seem like a throwaway act but it actually plays an important part in separating the 2 guards after defusing the 2nd bomb. This makes taking them down much easier.
Use saves where necessary – it’s the 100% that matters with this mission!
We personally don’t like using saves when playing through a Splinter Cell mission but sometimes you just have to relent to get things done.
Despite being a great game, some of the AI detection here is clearly erratic or perhaps even, flawed and the best way to circumvent this within a reasonable amount of time is to use saves. Try and keep the number of saves to a reasonable number though to keep the game challenging enough and to retain a sense of accomplishment once your playthrough is done.
Mission 10 - Kokubo Sosho
It’s tough to beat this level without any KOs but definitely doable. However, in order to do this you’ll need to use at least 1 save. This is because hacking the biometric scanner enroute to the Server Room is a case of luck/trial and error.
Entering the War Room is very tricky as there’s a camera that seems to spot you straightaway. Instead of abusing the save feature, follow our walkthrough to see how we hack the Server Room camera in the office room nearby and time our run into the Server Room. The code to the Server Room is 1945.
