4O V E R V I E W:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance (i.e. TMNT 2003 GBA), is the video game adaptation based on the popular TV series of the same name. In this game, players take control of each turtle, each with their unique campaign to conquer. The gameplay varies from traditional side-scrolling levels to thrilling third-person races.
This game was later bundled with its sequel, TMNT 2: Battle Nexus, in 2006, which is the version we have used in making this walkthrough. So, you may notice references to the year 2006 in the credits.
P L O T:
The adventure kicks off shortly after a group of mouser robots devastates the Turtles' former home, subsequently launching attacks on their new sanctuary. Determined to uncover the truth behind these relentless assaults, the Turtles follow the trail of destruction back to Baxter Stockman's factory, where they rescue young April O'Neil from danger. However, the journey isn't without its complications, as Michelangelo manages to irritate Raphael, leading to his departure to the surface.
On the surface, Raphael crosses paths with the notorious Purple Dragon thugs but also encounters Casey Jones, who shares the Turtles' disdain for the gang. The situation escalates when Stockman develops invisible foot tech ninjas for the Foot Clan to capture Raphael, prompting the other Turtles to rally together and mount a rescue mission. Donatello, ever resourceful, employs a cloaking device detector to aid in their battle against these elusive foes. Throughout their quest, the Turtles also face genetically mutated adversaries.
Once all four campaigns are successfully completed, the Turtles set their sights on Shredder's Lair, confronting the formidable Hun before ultimately challenging the enigmatic Foot leader, The Shredder.

Despite being an excellent side-scrolling TMNT game, it is often overlooked today, likely because it was released for the Game Boy Advance in the early 2000s (and not the late 80s/early 90s). Many TMNT fans still favor the 1987 series, although the 2003 series holds its own with its remarkable qualities, staying true to the original comics in tone, style, and story.
