Bosses become vulnerable once they begin filling their energy. If you bounce a Noise Crush around by shooting through the boss door at the right time, you can kill them before you actually gain control of Mega Man.

This is normally not useful since Spring Man's weapon is needed for Shade Man in a real speed run. This does work on Turbo Man also, though. I suspect the same principle can also be applied to a lot of other bosses.

You can use the same concept again Freeze Man with the Junk Shield (destruct it as you walk through the door). If you hit him with a piece of it, he will do his "hit by junk shield" animation instead of his normal pre-battle routine. It doesn't kill him like this does, sadly, but it is humorous.
