Maybe it's the quality of life improvements made to each game in this remake and my lack of hands-on experience with the PS1 versions (minus a very foggy memory of me briefly playing Spyro on my cousins' console one day when I was younger). Either way, I'd say that all three games in this collection are on near equal footing when arguing which is the best. Kinda like a Pikmin situation where they're all great games with their own strengths, weaknesses, and appeals. I will say that Spyro 3 probably left the best lasting impression on me the more I played it for this recording with its superior music, tight and rounded level design, and how fun it was to route the collectables and backtracking.
