1Scruffy 3 was finished on June 15th, 2008. Right after that I set out to make a sequel that would blow it away (which I would hope so, none of the original games were any good).
6 years later, it's finally happening, though it's far from done.
My hard drive's PCB fried this summer, and while I can get it repaired, it was quicker to get a new computer. After that, for 5 months I worked on a new engine and gameplay style (which is why I fell off the face of the Earth).
This game was formerly known as Scruffy 4 and went through a variety of weird phases. One constant is that it was always meant to be my biggest adventure yet. It used to have an epic storyline about time travel, but nowadays it's simply a good old fashioned battle between the morphing slacker slapstick hero Scruffy, and his irritable arch nemesis Kranion. Every character from Scruffy 3 will appear again with new designs and personalities along with fluidly animated cartoon graphics, along with some new characters.
On another note, 2015 is the 10th Anniversary of Scruffy's games. Perhaps you'll see something else then?
