Square Enix Losing Money and Cancelling Games
2Square Enix faces a downturn, cancels projects after poor choices and game releases, and plans to allocate resources more selectively. The company expects a loss of approximately $140 million from game cancellations in the fiscal year ending March 2024. Despite these challenges, major titles like Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts 4 are likely safe. Their next major release, the Dawntrail expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, is scheduled for July 2nd.
