[Simple] Here's why this is the Best Flying Flicker: The four flaps are well locked and the four seams between them are flush together as if all on the same layer. This make it more aerodynamic than other flickers where the flaps fold on top of each other like a tato.

I haven't even tried this model with printer paper cut square, but I imagine it would fly even better and farther. If you find that your flicker dives downward, simply curl the four corners slightly downward so that the top is convex, which will give the flicker more lift.

This model is essentially a blintzed pinwheel base where the four flaps of the pinwheel overlap to lock the blintzed flaps. If you turn it over so the "X" is down, it will spin very well on the table.
