Can You Fold This Impossible Paint Bucket?
How to fold the Impossible Bucket Pouring Paint. This model was requested by member Arlo during the May 2025 Western Hemisphere Livestream. During the livestream I managed to make the prototype in about 5 minutes which you can view here (when I publish it). In the weeks that followed, I redesigned and refined the model so that the bucket is supported by the paint that is spilled on the table.

This model was inspired by Arlo's request, but it was also inspired by the magic faucet exhibit that I saw many years ago at the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum in San Francisco. In the exhibit there is a giant faucet that appears to be suspended by nothing AND water is gushing out of it! In reality, there is a clear tube that is inside the gushing water that both supports the faucet and carries the water up into the faucet.
For this model you can fold whatever color of paint you would like, as long as it's a color of paper you have in your origami paper collection. But even if you don't have any origami paper, you can fold this bucket pouring paint from ordinary printer paper cut square and simply color the paint however you want. If you are into paint pouring, you might want to color it in several colors to make it most resemble paint pouring.
