By doing absolutely nothing, Luigi can beat Goku!... and Chao... the spirit in Smash Ultimate...

Well we don't have THE Goku in Smash, so this is the closest thing I could do. I was thinking of what to do for an AFD video, and given all the jokes with the Goku & Chao spirit, that gave me an idea. After some initial testing with trying to beat it by doing nothing, it wasn't looking promising, as those Golden Hammers that always spawn kept destroying Luigi too quickly. But with some fiddling around with the spirit setup, I came up with a more viable setup:

*Mega Diancie for the primary spirit, as it's not only the Grab-based spirit with the highest defense, but also has three support slots, and starts you equipped with a handy Franklin Badge to reflect projectiles.
*With three support slots, I'm able to add a Slow Super Armor support spirit, which is vital to help keep Luigi on stage for longer as he can now armor through the Golden Hammer until around 30ish%. The slowness doesn't matter when you're doing nothing anyway.
*I had one more support slot left and wasn't sure what to do, so I used a support spirit that starts you off metal, to farther help Luigi tank through several Golden Hammer shots.

With this setup, Luigi could stick around a bit longer and after not too long, I got a match where both Diddy and Villager SD'd with the Golden Hammers before KOing Luigi (though the metal support spirit ended up not making a difference in the eventual successful match, it runs out so fast). Now perhaps someday I'll finally mod my Switch and I could get the Goku most people probably came to this video for...
