Socketjam is an app to bring together musicians and amateurs for browser-based electronic music improvisation.

Audio and music synthesis is processor and memory intensive, but representation systems like MIDI or notated scores are lightweight and portable. Socketjam uses socket.io to emit and listen to score-like events and renders all synthesized audio and visuals in the browser.
