Staff Weaver is the hard DPS class you play when you're looking to top the damage meters, but this build brings back some of the interactivity that GW2 had before expansions power crept with unravel and combo finishers.

Build:
Mix of mainly Marauder with some valkyrie and berserker. Reach 65% crit unbuffed.
Pack runes or Scholar or any other pure DPS rune
Staff with Force Impact or Cleansing
