This is one of my least favourite areas in all of Star Fox 64, this is Solar, a star placed in the middle of the Sector X-Y-Z triangle. Solar is known for its extreme temperatures, not even an Arwing can withstand enough, as you will take damage from the heat of Solar.

One thing to warn about Solar, you and your teammates will take damage due to the high temperatures, and I do like how Slippy mentions how the Arwing can take temperatures as high as 9000 degrees, I don't know if this is meant to be a reference to the over 9000 meme, but a good reference by the way.
If you have visited Katina before going to Solar, Bill does help you out by giving you Supply Rings and Laser Upgrades, you can visit Solar after completing Fortuna, the difference is Bill doesn't appear if you go from Fortuna to Solar. If you fly closer to the lava, you take more damage, so it's best to try and fly as high as you can to avoid taking damage continuously, or use the Supply Rings to restore some health, you can shoot the rocks, as they provide Supply Rings as well.
After a while, Falco will be under attack by some enemies, and shortly after helping Falco, who had almost got burned, Slippy can no longer handle the hot temperatures.
At the end, a massive tidal wave of lava appears, and we find the enemy bio-weapon, which Peppy is surprised by, and as Falco would say, Andross is an insane fool. This creature is called Vulcain, its weak point is its arms, and its attacks by shooting molten rocks. Once both of Vulcain's arms are shot down, shoot its head to take it down, but watch out for the lava coming out of it during that phase.
With Vulcain down, it is time to move onto the next planet, the next one is Macbeth, and to get the medal for Solar, you have to score 100 hits, shoot as many molten rocks as you can, as well as the enemies targeting Falco once you get past the checkpoint.
I do show Bill's appearance in Sector X, this only happens after visiting Katina, and he helps you get to the secret warp path, which leads to Sector Z when you take it. The warp from Sector X has a lot of obstacles to watch out for, so I find that to be much harder than the warp back at Meteos where you had extra enemies to boost your hit score.
